Jeremy Kaplan
Chief Operating Officer
Jeremy Kaplan is KRE Group's Chief Operating Officer and has primary executive responsibility for the property management of more than 3,400 rental apartment units and 3.4 million square feet of office and industrial properties. Mr. Kaplan leads a property management team of approximately 50 regional property managers, on-site property supervisors, on-site leasing professionals, property accountants, and receivables/payables staff. Mr. Kaplan's key responsibilities include management of property leasing, operating expenses and capital improvements, as well as oversight of all property reporting and accounting systems. Prior to joining KRE Group in 2008, Mr. Kaplan was a Senior Manager at Barr Laboratories (a specialty pharmaceuticals company, since acquired by Teva Pharmaceuticals), where he reported directly to the company's Chief Financial Officer and led the Budgeting and Forecast Group for a $6 billion company with operations in over 30 countries. During Mr. Kaplan's tenure at Barr, he managed all international cost-cutting and synergy initiatives following Barr's $2.2 billion acquisition of Pliva in 2006. Prior to Barr, Mr. Kaplan was an investment banker at SCO Capital Partners, where he executed over $100 million of private placement financings. Mr. Kaplan received his B.A. in Economics and Politics from Brandeis University and his M.B.A. from the New York University Stern School of Business.
