Murray Kushner

Murray Kushner has been a real estate investor and developer for more than 30 years and is Chairman of KRE Group, the successor company to SK Properties which he co-founded in 1979 together with Eugene Schenkman. Mr. Kushner built what is now KRE Group from a two-person real estate development partnership into a full-service real estate company with over 75 full-time employees and a real estate investment portfolio currently totaling more than 7,200 apartment units and 4.3 million square feet of office and industrial property. While leading the acquisition and development of this portfolio, Mr. Kushner also founded an affiliated property management company that provides property management services to a large portion of the KRE Group portfolio. Under Mr. Kushner's leadership, KRE Group has received over $1 billion in capital investments from leading banks and institutional equity investors. The company's lenders have included Bank of America, PNC Bank and Wells Fargo, and its institutional equity partners have included Aetna Insurance Companies, Chubb Insurance Company, Mack-Cali Realty Corporation and the National Electrical Benefit Fund. In addition to his real estate activities at KRE Group, Mr. Kushner is an active investor in partnership with others in a broad range of non-real estate assets.
